Primary Schools
Cappanalea NCOET is a popular venue for primary school tours.
The Centre can cater for primary schools on a residential, on a day basis or half day. All healthy outdoor activities are pitched at a level to suit the young students and they are practiced in a safe and controlled environment.
Schools visiting us on a non-residential basis have the option of choosing from two-different day packages which will be sure to suit all budgets and time constraints.
Bring Adventure to your School

Join us in Killarney National Park for a full day’s activity with Cappanalea NCOET and Killarney National Park Education Centre. One part of the day can be spent in our field studies base in Knockreer participating in a wide range of nature activities which are linked to SESE.
The other half of the day can be spent doing one of the following activities: Kayaking or Orienteering. The orienteering is a fun way of introducing students to the life skill of navigation. The orienteering can be based around Knockreer house and gardens in the National Park. The Kayaking will take place at Ross Castle a short distance from Knockreer. Students will get the chance to explore Lough Léin and maybe catch a glimpse of the sea eagles with qualified instructors.
