Work has begun on the new Cappanalea slipway, it is hoped that the work will be completed in 3-4 weeks all going well. The new slipway will have access for all and a hoist will be in place making the Cappanalea Lake accessible to those in wheelchairs. As the pictures will show a dam needs to be put in place first using the sand bags which will act as a barrier so that the real work can begin once the water has been drained away. This work is been done with as little impact as possible to the natural environment of the Cappanalea lake and of course the users of the lake. While work is in progress the Canoe shed is out of bound, so a make shift rack is in place to store all the boats.
