Cappanalea OEC is surrounded by some of the best whitewater and flatwater paddleing in all of Ireland. With the beautiful lakes of Killarney nearby and the exciting Glencar rivers almost outside our back door, we can provide a challenge for all.
The qualified instructors are renowned paddlers and some are members of the national training and assessment panels.

At Cappanalea OEC get a taste for your kayaking nice and gently on some flat water on our neighbouring lake, Caragh Lake or perhaps even on the beautiful Lakes of Killarney.
Kayaking course are designed to run from a half a day, to run over a number of evenings or over two days which can culminate in a Level II Assessment, should you wish.

Once you have some basic kayaking skills, its time to move onto some more exciting water. The Atlantic waves rolling in on Rossbeigh Strand provide an exciting dimension to surf kayaking.
Course can be tailored to suit the needs and to meet the time restrictions of those planning to participate in the activity.

From our tranquil lakes you may want to improve your technical skills and move onto some more exciting moving water. Whether it be surf or rivers our location and qualified instructors will allow you to progress quickly through the various grades so as to fully enjoy all aspects of the sport.
Located within five minutes of Glencar we have access to some of the best whitewater rivers in the country and with 3 Level III instructors on staff we will always be able to cater for your needs.
Courses include a two day Level III or Level IV training and assessment.
