Cappanalea has one of the largest Canadian canoe fleets in the country and we use it to bring our students on a number of courses through out Kerry. Starting off gently on the lakes of Kerry we can bring people on many tours around the county. The lakes of Killarney especially provide some beautiful paddling as well as the possibility of seeing the recently re-introduced Sea-Eagles up close.
Moving onto rivers we can instruct people on how to handle their open canoes in flowing water. The qualified instructors at Cappanalea OEC can teach the necessary skills to canoe safely on grade 3 rapids on the rivers Laune, Lower Flesk and the Lower Caragh.
Our canoes also offer a great platform for multi-day trips, camping in and around some truly wonderful places.
Canoe sailing is also an activity taught at the Centre. If you have a group interested in canoeing contact info@cappanalea.ie
